Transform and rollout!

It's been tough sitting on these pics from what I worked on for Transformers a year ago, but with it being screened everywhere and hitting theaters on Tuesday, I can now let you see.

One of the coolest things I've sculpted on (since the Dr. Satan tombstone for House Of 1,000 Corpses) was this full size Megatron robot. From the waist down he measured in at 25', was built in 3 sections and then stacked.

Here he is painted before being given the frozen look.

After the frozen treatment, Mega was installed on his stage, had his hands attached and Set Decorating did the rest.

The sets the construction crew created for this film were truly sweet. I'm dying to see it on the big screen.

Stagecoach Rd

Akiko and I took our new Hybrid on it's first road trip last weekend.
Just past Santa Barbara, we headed up Hwy 154 and turned onto Stagecoach Rd. This was part of an actual stagecoach route over 120 years ago and Cold Spring Tavern was a rest stop.

We had a nice lunch including a tasty Bar-B-Q Venison Sausage Burger and then continued on to the Santa Ynez wine country.

Gone Green!

This past weekend, Akiko and I went green. We purchased a Saturn Vue SUV Hybrid.
Not so much for the gas saving, but more for a low emission vehicle. So far we love it and are happy to be doing are part.
Pics soon.

Indy

Finished up on National Treasure 2 last week and as of Monday, I'm now working on set construction for Indiana Jones 4. It has a Top Secret working title and they are very tight on any what, when and where type information. I like working so no Hot Breaking News here.
Still, they ARE making this thing and I get to be there.

Nerd Display

One of Akiko's very generous co-workers, gave us a display cabinet she didn't have room for. Much thanks.
Now my true Geekness is on full display and well lit in our living room. Yes!
